GENZ (Cambridge, Mass.) announced results of a pivotal trial, showing fewer post-operative uterine adhesions in 127 women who had surgery to remove fibroids (benign muscular tumors).

GENZ did not release data, but said the results were statistically significant, and will be presented at a scientific meeting. The company plans to file a PMA next month for use in abdominal and pelvic surgery. The FDA has said it will expedite review. ...
