NXTR researchers published a report in Chemistry and Biology on the identification of a nuclease-resistant oligonucleotide with high affinity and specificity to VEGF, a protein produced in many cancer cells that causes proliferation of blood vessels.
The anti-angiogenic oligonucleotide was discovered using the Boulder, Colo., company's SELEX (systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment) combinatorial chemistry process. The compound is in preclinical testing. ...
