Creative BioMolecules preclinical data

Investigators working with the Hopkinton, Mass., company presented rabbit data showing that the protein can stimulate formation of new joints.

As presented at the American College of Surgeons meeting in New Orleans, 10 rabbits were divided into control and treatment groups. Half of each rabbit's shoulder joint was removed and replaced either with an allograft (freeze-dried bone) into which was placed muscle tissue from the rabbit, or allograft treated with OP-1 and muscle tissue.
