Scotia announced that a Phase III trial in 432 patients showed less damage to the skin of the breast in patients who received radiation therapy and used EF27 versus placebo.
At six weeks after radiotherapy, the time of peak adverse skin reaction, 64 percent fewer women experienced the most severe skin reactions (8.3 versus 3 percent of women). Average severity of damage at the scar site in all women was reduced by 22 percent compared to placebo. ...
