Aronex preclinical data

ARNX (The Woodlands, Texas) reported preclinical results with AR-177, which indicate the compound inhibits viral replication by blocking the HIV integrase enzyme. HIV integrase is used by the virus to insert its replicated DNA into the host chromosome or DNA.

In culture assays, AR-177 halted viral production for more than 21 days following four days of treatment, compared with AZT, which stopped viral production for two days following a four-day treatment. ...
