The Charlestown, Mass., company presented animal data at the International Congress of Immunology in San Francisco, demonstrating that injections of prolactin and corticosterone can stimulate immune function and limit tumor growth if timed to the circadian clock.

Mice bearing fibrosarcoma tumors were kept on constant light to abolish circadian rhythms. When returned to daily photoperiods, the mice showed a 25-65 percent inhibition of tumor growth when given timed injections of the hormones. ...
