A VMRX subsidiary acquired exclusive rights to technology for the synthetic development of nucleic acid-based compounds that destroy targeted messenger RNAs that trigger the production of specific disease-causing proteins.

VMRX (Stamford, Conn.) had previously lent $750,000 to the prior owner of the technology, an undisclosed company with facilities in Goettingen, Germany, and Cambridge, U.K. A portion of the loan was used to acquire the rights. ...
