Ares-Serono regulatory update

Ares-Serono said European Patent 287,075, issued to Rentschler Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. for recombinant interferon beta, has no applicability to Ares-Serono's recombinant interferon beta.

The Geneva company also said the CHO cell line used in its manufacturing process, and the recombinant beta interferon obtained from that cell line, were disclosed in detail three years prior to the priority date of the '075 patent. ...
