NIH researchers and collaborators published in Science the identification of long-sought inhibitory factors secreted by CD8 cells that appear to block the spread of HIV among cells.
Three separate CD8 cell lines produced the suppressive factors - RANTES, MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta - which have been called HIV-SF. The factors were identified as previously known chemokine proteins that promote cell movement. ...
