Aredia pamidronate disodium bisphosphonate data

CHIR announced that data from a 21-month, Phase III trial showed a reduction in fractures and other skeletal complications, and improved survival in a subgroup who were on salvage therapy.
Of 392 patients, 377 were evaluable (198 on drug and 179 on placebo), as presented at American Society of Hematology meeting in Seattle. Mean skeletal morbidity (the number of skeletal-related events a year) was 1.3 on Aredia compared to 2.2 for placebo (p=0.008), ...
