CA 125 antigen assay for in vitro diagnosis data

TOSOH Corp. of Japan reported on results obtained with assay kits using technology licenced from BIOMF (Edmonton, Alberta). As presented by a researcher from Dana Farber Cancer Institute at the meeting of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry in Anaheim, Calif., the TOSOH automated assays show less variability and more precision than a Centocor Inc. assay currently in use.
Comparison studies were carried out on more than 150 patient samples. The TOSOH assay correlated with the CNTO method, with a slope of 0.99 and a correlation coefficient of 0.98. ...
