HYALF (Mississauga, Ontario) reported in vitro and in vivo studies that demonstrate the specific binding of hyaluronic acid (HA) to the intracellular adhesion molecule-1 ( ICAM-1).
Company-sponsored research in Sweden isolated ICAM-1 from liver and used antibodies to inhibit binding of HA, demonstrating saturable and specific binding, said HYALF President Samuel Asculai.
