PBIO (Cambridge, Mass.) filed the original suit in October 1993. As amended, the action charges that BSEP's production of certain HyperDiffusion products violates a modular surface chemistry patent exclusively licensed to PBIO. The patent, No. 5,030,352, relates to the technology underlying the manufacturing process of PBIO's POROS chromatography products and the process by which polymeric media is rendered biocompatible. ...
