The rgp120 HIV envelope vaccine, a Chiron Corp. protein, was given with seven different adjuvants to healthy volunteers. As reported at the International Conference on Mucosal Immunization, Genetic Approaches and Adjuvants in Rockville, Md., the higher titers were observed after two doses of the agent plus alum in liposomes.
