The Sacramento company filed a civil suit against Difco Laboratories Inc. (Detroit), alleging that Difco misappropriated ALMR's Redox System while under a confidentiality and non-use agreement. The system uses redox fluorescense to detect organism growth.
ALMR is seeking $25 million in compensatory damages and an injunction against Difco's further use of ALMR's technology. ALMR also asked to be transferred a Difco patent that it alleges is based on the Redox System. The patent number was not available. ...
