The Malvern, Penn., company reported animal results at the International Symposium on Controlled Release of Bioactive Materials in Nice, showing prolonged activity of an anti-proliferative agent carried by its Zyn-Linker molecule.

Proliferation of blood vessel cells in vitro was inhibited for a week by a colchicine analog linked to the two-tailed, lipophilic molecule, whereas the analog alone rapidly lost its effect. In rabbits, the linked analog remained in vessel walls for four days after local infusion, while the unlinked agent lasted for less than an hour. ...
