ENZ (Farmingdale, N.Y.) filed new claims against CGNE in the U.S. District Court in Delaware, alleging that CGNE is infringing ENZ's patent No. 5,190,931 for genetic antisense. ENZ claims that CGNE's canola oil and tomato products infringe ENZ's patent by embodying the patented technology.
ENZ initially sued in March 1993, charging patent infringement and acts of unfair competition and asking that CGNE's genetic antisense patent be invalidated. ...
