Applied Immune Sciences Inc. deal

AISX made an undisclosed equity investment in Genetix Pharmaceuticals Inc. Genetix will use its Multiple Drug Resistance (MDR) technology to produce a line of stem cells resistant to chemotherapeutics. Genetix will use AISX's CELLector to purify stem cells, and will use its technology to add MDR genes to the stem cells using a retroviral vector.
