Lexicon raises $161 million

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:LXRX) raised $161 million through the sale of 142.5 million shares at $1.13 in a rights issue. The price is a 3% discount to Lexicon's close of $1.16 on Nov. 11, before the offering was announced. Shareholders were eligible to purchase 0.43 shares for each share held.
