Hemopure bovine hemoglobin glutamer: Phase II data; Phase III

BPUR published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery results of an international Phase II study of Hemopure in 72 elderly patients undergoing vascular surgery showing that 27 percent of the patients did not require red blood cell transfusions throughout the 28-day follow-up period. A total of 66 percent of the patients did not require red blood cell transfusion on the day of surgery and 39 percent did not require transfusion during the 96-hour treatment period. ...
