SR90107A/ORG31540: Phase III

In 4 international Phase III trials in a total of 7,000 patients undergoing orthopedic surgery, treatment with 2.5 mg SR90107A/ORG31540 once per day starting post-operatively reduced the overall risk of either proximal or distal DVT by 50 percent relative to low molecular weight heparin. Safety was similar between the two groups, as was the rate of all-cause mortality.
