APHT researchers demonstrated that treatment with Gastrimmune to stimulate an immune response against the gastrin-17 growth factor increased survival of mice carrying a mutation in the APC gene, which causes familial adenomatous polyposis coli, a condition that leads to colon cancer. Gastrimmune also reversed the negative effects of inhibiting gastric acid secretion (increasing serum gastrin levels) in the APC mutant mice.

Separately, researchers showed that antibodies against the Cholecystokinin B receptor prevented the metastasis to the liver of colorectal cancer cells transplanted into mice. ...
