Cangene, Akzo Nobel Pharma International BV deal

CNJ said Akzo has asked to reduce the C$22 million cash purchase price under its agreement to acquire CNJ's nucleic acid sequenced-based amplification (NASBA) technology.

F. Hoffmann La- Roche recently announced that it intends to initiate proceedings alleging that Akzo's HIV NASBA test kits infringe Roche's European PCR patent.
