Geron, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Sloan-Kettering Insititute for Cancer Research received a $2 million, five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute's National Cooperative Drug Discovery Group (NCDDG) program to develop a telomerase inhibitor to treat a number of cancers.
Geron will discover and optimize new chemical entities directed against telomerase. The Menlo Park, Calif., company also will test the lead compound in human tumor cell lines. ...
