Biotage Inc., Dyax, Protein Engineering Corp. deal

Biotage and Protein Engineering merged to create Dyax, combining Protein Engineering's phage display technology with Biotage's separations equipment business.

In conjunction with the merger, Dyax received $4 million in new financing led by Prince Ventures (see page B14), much of which will be devoted to discovering affinity ligands using the phage display technology, said Protein Engineering CEO Ed Cannon.
