A U.S. District Court judge in New York granted GNE's request for a preliminary injunction to prohibit U.S. sales of Novo Nordisk's Norditropin human growth hormone, which recently received FDA marketing approval. The injunction replaces a temporary restraining order issued last month (see BioCentury June 19).
According to GNE, the judge determined that GNE (South San Francisco) had shown a strong likelihood of success on its claim that Novo Nordisk (Denmark) infringes U.S. Patent 4,601,980 covering methods for the manufacture of hGH. ...
