APBI said results for its fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 will be lower than the current range projected by security analysts. On a preliminary basis, the Arlington, Va., company said, net revenues for the fourth quarter are anticipated to be up about 23 percent from the comparable 1993 quarter, and net income from continuing operations is expected to be at or slightly below break even compared to a 14 cents a share loss in the 1993 quarter. APBI said it will issue the results the week of Feb. 27.

BSEP and SEPR (both of Marlborough, Mass.) filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts alleging unfair competition by PBIO in connection with BSEP's HyperD chromatography media. Earlier this month, PBIO filed a chromatography media suit against BSEP and other parties (see BioCentury, Feb. 13). BSEP and SEPR assert that PBIO has used lawsuits to compete unfairly in the chromatography media marketplace. ...
