The Ramsey, N.J., company announced at the Mabon Securities conference in New York that it has licensed a drug developed at Rockefeller University that lowers glucose in diabetic rats.
The rats, whose diabetes was induced by the toxin streptozotocin, had fasting glucose levels lowered by the agent, and combination therapy with insulin showed an additive effect as well. ...
