The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted a preliminary injunction prohibiting the introduction of BTGC's Bio-Tropin recombinant growth hormone in the U.S. After FDA approval of the product, GNE (South San Francisco) filed a motion to prevent the Iselin, N.J., company from marketing the product pending the outcome of of GNE's patent infringement action against BTGC.
