The Menlo Park, Calif., company presented results of a multi-center trial, showing greater than 90 percent agreement with microlymphotoxicity testing to detect antibodies to incompatible HLA antigens.
At the Eighth European Histocompatibility Conference in Strasbourg, France, data were presented from 80 samples containing no anti-HLA class I antibodies, which gave negative results on Pra-stat. For 102 samples from patients on a waiting list for kidney transplants, the test gave a correlation among five labs of 0.89 to 0.96, as compared with lymphotoxicity, which gave correlations of 0.57 to 0.94. Agreement between the company's test and the lymphotoxicity results was 93 percent, with specificity of 94 percent and sensitivity of 93 percent. ...
