CBCX (Worcester, Mass.) received U.S. Patent No. 5,273,965 covering the delivery through the mucus membranes of a member of the saponin family of compounds. The compound is delivered in a nasal spray or in eye drops.
Saponin compounds can facilitate the transport of insulin across the membranes of the eye and nose. Other applications could include delivery of some antibiotics, and of hormones such as interferon and growth hormone releasing factor (GRF). ...
