CHIR reported that intermittent treatment with IL-2 improved some of the immunologic abnormalities associated with HIV infection.
Seven of 10 patients had a 50 percent or higher increase in CD4 cells, one to two months after receiving IL-2. One patient's count rose from 468 to 2130 cells/mm3 during the first year of therapy. The patients had CD4 counts above 200 and were all on zidovudine. ddI and ddC were also allowed. ...
