IDXX said the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California granted IDXX's request for a preliminary injunction against sales of SBIO's Viracheck/FIV diagnostic for the feline immunodeficiency virus. The action is related to a patent infringement suit brought by IDXX and The Regents of the University of California against SBIO in May. IDXX and the university charged SBIO with infringement of U.S. Patent No. 5,118,602 relating to methods for the diagnosis of FIV. IDXX is the exclusive licensee of the university's patent. ...
