SNX-111 calcium channel blocking peptides data

NXCO presented animal data on its calcium channel blocking peptides at the Annual Meeting for Neuroscience in Washington, showing that SNX-111, currently in Phase I trials for cerebral ischemia, also can block pain responses.
Using rats, the company demonstrated that an infusion of SNX-111over 24 hours avoids the blood-pressure-lowering side effects caused by IV injection. Infusion of a ten-fold lower dose, as compared to the dose used for IV injection, was still neuroprotective in the rats. NXCO is using the infusion route for SNX-111 therapy in its Phase I protocol. ...
