Silicon Valley entrepreneur Sean Parker pledged $24 million over the next two years to establish a research center at the Stanford University School of Medicine that aims to discover lasting cures for allergies. The Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy Research Center will create a data-sharing cluster of interlinked satellite centers to run clinical trials in allergy research. The center will also provide immune monitoring and share mechanistic data that can be evaluated along with patient data. Kari Nadeau will lead the center. Nadeau is the associate professor of pediatrics at the medical school and immunologist at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Stanford Health Care. ...
