Intrexon, AmpliPhi BioSciences deal

AmpliPhi terminated a 2013 deal with Intrexon to develop bacteriophage-containing therapeutics to treat bacterial infections associated with acute and chronic wounds, acute and chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infections and Clostridium difficile infections. AmpliPhi said it terminated the deal because “meaningful progress has not been made” and that it wanted to cut expenses and explore new partnerships.
