BGI, Complete Genomics deal

Complete Genomics and BGI said the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China granted clearance for BGI's proposed acquisition of Complete Genomics. The companies, which expect the deal to close this quarter, received clearance earlier this month from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and clearance last month from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. The deal is still subject to clearance from the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (see BioCentury, Jan. 7 & Jan. 14). ...
