Neuropilin 2 (NRP2)

Patient sample and mouse studies suggest inhibiting NRP2 could help prevent cancer metastasis. In multiple mouse xenograft models for human cancer, small hairpin RNA against NRP2 decreased metastasis compared with control shRNA but had no effect on primary tumor growth.
In patient samples, increased NRP2 expression in metastatic tumors correlated with advanced tumor stage. Next steps could include developing NRP2 inhibitors.
