Pharma execs expected to sign immigration letter

Multiple pharma leaders are expected to add their signatures to a letter expressing concern about the effects of immigration restrictions on the industry, one of its lead authors told BioCentury on Tuesday. More than 160 biotech industry figures have signed the letter, published by Nature Biotechnology, which also included broader criticism of the new restrictions' implications for the U.S.

Ovid Therapeutics Inc. (New York, N.Y.) Chairman and CEO Jeremy Levin said time constraints limited the authors' ability to seek signatures from pharma executives, but said "several" will sign on and be listed in an upcoming print version of the publication.
