Biotech stocks still reeling

Biotech stocks continued a week-long slide Friday, as indices ended the week with double-digit losses from their Sept. 18 close. The BioCentury 100 Index sank 353.51 (5.5%) to 6077.54 on Friday and finished the week down 13.7%.

The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index (NBI) fell 5% Friday, bringing the week's losses to 13%. The NYSE Arca Biotechnology Index (BTK) lost 4.7% Friday and 11.6% on the week, while the iShares NASDAQ Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 4.9% Friday and 13% on the week.
