MMRF, FDA, NCI to develop multiple myeloma master protocol

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) announced plans to develop a multiple myeloma (MM) "master protocol" in partnership with FDA, the National Cancer Institute (NCI), industry and academic leaders, and patients. The protocol will allow simultaneous, parallel Phase II testing of many MM candidates within a single study design.

MMRF spokesperson Maria Favorito told BioCentury the protocol will enable relapsed MM patients "to enroll in a master trial where they would be assigned to an appropriate experimental drug based on the analysis of their myeloma genetic profile." ...
