NBAC report on patient protection

The National Bioethics Advisory Commission released a set of 30 recommendations for research involving human participants. The report proposes the creation by the federal govenrment of a new independent oversight office, to be called the National Office for Human Research Oversight (NOHRO), that would "have clear authority over all other segments of the federal government and extend protections to the entire private sector for both domestic and international research." ...
