Drug price control measures fail in Senate

The Senate wrapped up votes early Thursday morning on an FY17 budget resolution that sets the legislative stage for repealing the Affordable Care Act. The resolution passed 51-48, and a number of drug price control amendments failed.
The votes came about 12 hours after President-elect Donald Trump said pharma companies are “getting away with murder” and called for “bidding” on drug prices (see BioCentury Extra, Jan. 11)...
