California Right to Try Act signed into law

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law the Right to Try Act ( AB-1668), a bill that allows drug manufacturers and physicians to provide eligible terminally ill patients with investigational therapies that have completed a Phase I trial but have not been approved by FDA.
Brown vetoed a similar bill last year, saying that FDA's compassionate use program should be given "a chance to work" before the state authorizes an alternative pathway (see BioCentury Extra, Oct. 12, 2015). ...
