Sponsor ends support of California transparency bill

The sponsor of SB 1010, a California bill that would have required drug manufacturers to disclose large price increases, said he no longer will press for its approval following a series of amendments.

In a statement, California State Sen. Ed Hernandez (D) said the amendments "have made it more difficult for us to accomplish our fundamental goal" of cost transparency. ...
