Clinton suggests using pharma profits to fund generic competition

Hillary Clinton demanded in a Facebook posting Monday that Turing Pharmaceuticals AG (New York, N.Y.) completely reverse its price increase of Daraprim pyrimethamine, and suggested considering forcing pharma companies to fund the production of generic drugs.

Clinton wrote that although Turing CEO Martin Shkreli has stated that he will reduce the price of Daraprim, he "hasn't said how much the drug will cost going forward, and in the meantime, sick patients still have to wait and worry and continue to pay $750/pill." ...
