ASCO recommends Medicaid reforms

The Health Disparities Committee of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) released a (see BioCentury Extra, Dec. 23, 2013).

The committee also called for the expansion of Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to every U.S. state and recommended raising Medicaid's physician reimbursement rates to match those of Medicare. The committee also advocated the removal of coverage disparities between beneficiaries who enrolled in Medicaid before and after passage of ACA, and called for improvements in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. ...
