Clark to succeed Willetts as U.K. minister for universities and science

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron announced several new ministerial appointments on Tuesday, including MP Greg Clark as minister for universities and science. Clark, who will remain minister of state, succeeds MP David Willetts in the role. In a statement on the reshuffling, the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) said Willetts -- who served as minister for universities and science from 2010-2014 -- has been "instrumental" in establishing the U.K. as a global research center through his work on the Strategy for U.K. Life Sciences. Cameron also appointed MP George Freeman as parliamentary under secretary of state, a joint appointment across the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department of Health. ...
