EMA names heads of new divisions

EMA said its four new human medicines divisions will be led by current members of the agency's leadership, effective Monday. Zaide Frias becomes ad interim head of the Human Medicines Research and Development Support division and head of regulatory affairs and best evidence. She formerly was head of regulatory affairs at EMA. Enrica Alteri becomes head of the Human Medicines Evaluation division. She was head of safety and efficacy of medicines. Alexis Nolte will serve as head of the Procedure Management and Business Support division. Previously, he was head of quality of medicines.
