U.K. to launch center for personalized medicine diagnostics

The U.K.'s Technology Strategy Board said on Tuesday it plans to establish in 2015-16 a Diagnostics for Stratified Medicine Catapult, a government-sponsored center to support the development of diagnostic tools for personalized medicine. Also on Tuesday, the board released a progress update on the catapult program, which currently comprises seven centers as part of the U.K. government's original 2010 commitment.
